AirLiance Materials Appoints Dave Scott as Controller

Chicago, IL (February 12, 2001) - AirLiance Materials, a jointly owned company formed by United Airlines, Air Canada, and Lufthansa Technik, has appointed Dave Scott as controller, according to an announcement by Jeff Green, vice president of operations and chief financial officer. In his new position, Scott reports directly to Mr. Green and is responsible for directing and managing financial reports, budgeting, developing and maintaining operating procedures, and assisting in all financial planning and forecasting.

Mr. Scott joins AirLiance with more than 14 years of experience in accounting, finance, and business planning, in both the public and private sector. Prior to joining the company, he was community association controller at Del Webb's Sun City. While there, he was responsible for managing a $40 million residential community, performing duties such as annual budgets, establishing five operating departments, including director level staffing and policy and procedure documentation, and executing finance and business operations.

"We needed a person with strong financial leadership and a solid background in accounting. We found it in Mr. Scott," said Mr. Green. "This new position will allow Mr. Scott to exercise his leadership and financial capabilities in a new industry. His expertise and knowledge will definitely add great value to AirLiance."
