Airliance Materials Expands APU Support
Company to Provide Parts and Support Programs for All Commonly Flown APUs in Standard, Wide-body and Regional Fleets
CHICAGO, IL (Aug. 19, 2003) – AirLiance Materials, a leading supplier of replacement parts and related value-added services to the air transport industry, is expanding its APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) support capabilities to include a wide range of parts, services and support programs for virtually all commonly flown commercial APUs. As part of the current expansion effort, the company is further increasing the amount of on-the-shelf APU spare parts inventory and developing support strategies specific to APU operation.
According to Roscoe Musselwhite, Executive Vice President of AirLiance, “The decision to expand our APU support was in direct response to our customers’ needs. The logistics involved in maintaining APUs is different than in maintaining the main engines, and we’ve focused our APU support around those unique requirements. We’ve taken the combined operations experience of our founding partners and developed a total APU support program solution that is based on fast response and logistics flexibility."
Through AirLiance, airlines, operators and MROs now have a single-source solution for everything from off-the-shelf delivery of replacement parts to phase-check coordinated spare parts kitting as well as individualized fleet-based APU support programs. In addition, AirLiance also can provide replacement APUs.
