| DAVID J SISSON news >David J Sisson
David J. Sisson is President and Chief Executive Officer of AirLiance Materials. One of the original founders, Mr. Sisson was instrumental in developing and refining the strategies and management dynamics that propelled the company from start-up in mid 1998 to industry leadership within three short years. Under his guidance, AirLiance Materials redefined the basic business model within its business segment and in the process grew to become the most successful distributor of its type and integral supply chain partner to the worldís leading air transport operators. Prior to joining AirLiance Materials, Mr. Sisson was President and CEO of AVSCO Aviation Service Corp., a division of Aerospatiale, His extensive career in the aircraft industry includes positions with Heads Up technologies, Inc., Superior Air Parts, Inc., Textron Lycoming Div. of Textron, Inc., and the Statham Div. of Solartron. He started his career at Pratt & Whitney Division of United Technologies Corp. Mr. Sisson holds a B.S. and a MSEd. in Education from Bowling Green State University. Mr. Sisson is a commercial pilot with single and multi-engine and instrument ratings, and while on the ground trains vigorously for long distance events. Mr. Sisson is a veteran of over 20 marathons and a number of ultra-distance races. He is one of the few elite athletes that has completed the prestigious Ironman, a multi-discipline event consisting of a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bicycle race and 26.2 mile run.
